About ME

A young man with brown hair wearing a black tuxedo, white dress shirt, and black tie, smiling against a blurred background.

I began writing for my school newspaper in my freshman year of high school, and so many amazing opportunies have followed.

My name is Andrew Arndt. I am 18 and I live in Bridgewater, New Jersey, where I have lived for my whole life. I am entering my senior year at Bridgewater-Raritan Regional High School. I am the sports editor of The Prowler, the BRHS student newspaper. I have written over 17 articles for the Prowler over my high school career. My articles have covered everything from football to hockey and have celebrated amazing moments for my high school teams. Two of the largest moments I have covered were the 2026 NJSIAA Hockey Championships and the 2025 NJSIAA Football Section 2 Group 4 Championship. Additonally, I was selected to write for the 2025 San Francisco Giants Yearbook, which was sold in Oracle Park. This was one of the highlights of my high school writing career. I am currently on the Bridgewater-Raritan High School varsity football program as a right tackle. I am a member of two honors societies: the National Honor Society and the Quill and

Scroll Honor Society (a global honor society that recognizes and rewards high school student achievement in scholastic journalism and school publications). I have spent the past three years as the student statistician for all three levels of the Bridgewater-Raritan High School baseball program. Outside of school, I work for the Somerset Patriots, the Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, as a member of the event staff team. I am deeply passionate about all things sports and hope to pursue a career in sports media in college, and I am a sports fan at heart. I have been to countless ballparks, stadiums, and arenas, with all of them telling a different story. This has helped me expand my knowledge of the sports world, which I utilize each and every day.
